This site runs on a different set of rules than the rest of the internet - I am an artist, writer and experience creator and yet; I don’t do ads, I don’t data-mine you, I am not an Influencer, I have been boycotting Meta products since January 2025.I have never been on Twitter/X. I do not have “a team”, I do not use associate links, I do not sell my books on the website named for the biggest rainforest in the world, I do not do product placement, I do not do sponsored posts, all my books are printed domestically, I don’t intentionally use AI, I don’t do gift guides or other lists that inspire consumption, I keep my work accessible money-wise and I often offer my best work for free.
I offer things for free, not because they are worthless, but because their spirit is above-and-beyond ideas of commerce. I am able to do this due to a small but very cool group of people around the globe who love and support (and inspire!) this work.
Since 2012 I have worked every day at being a better and better guide, a better writer, a better artist.
Thank you to every one who has ever taken one of my meditations and made it their own by engaging with it. Thank you to every one who bought a second book to give to a friend. Thanks to everyone who has ever come up for a heart-to-heart hug at the end of an event. And, big thank you to every one who has - benevolent micro-transaction by micro-transaction - supported this work for a long time.
I do take tips. In this on-line era, it is such a practical thrill to receive gratitude in a physical way.
“I feel like an idiot who had been obediently digging up pieces of coal in an immense mine and has just realized that there is no need to do this, but that one can fly all day and night on great wings in clear blue air through brightly colored magic and weird worlds.”
- Sylvia Plath
“In the haunted house of life, art is the only stair that doesn't creak.”
― Tom Robbins
